The Half Double Institute is a non-profit foundation, whose purpose is to increase the success rates of projects – to help achieve this goal, along with leading industry partners, they developed a radical new project methodology.

Based on this methodology, APMG and Half Double launched foundation level certification and training in March 2021. The launch of Practitioner and Master levels followed – with the complete training and certification programme launched by June 2022. Through this training, Half Double has passed on simple tools and practices to learners to take back to their organisations, enabling their projects to create more impact in less time.

One of the founders of Half Double, Michael Ehlers, stated,

“Reaching this milestone means a lot to Half Double – increasing the success rate of hundreds of projects undertaken by those who have been through this training. APMG has been a great partner to undertake this journey with. Their deep insight to the mechanisms of the market and their experience in developing successful certification programmes has been crucial for reaching this milestone.”

APMG and Half Double’s partnership has enabled learners to increase the impact their projects have on their organisations. As recent Half Double candidate, Brian Schurmann Michels said,

“Half Double focus on better projects, faster. As a hybrid between traditional methods and agile, much of what I learned matches what I would intuitively do. However - the extreme focus on early impact versus deliverables at the end of the project is inspiring and we got lots of great tools on how to create flow and show leadership.”
